Jim Hanophy has over 35 years of experience working with people with disabilities and has held a variety of director level and executive positions within the industry. In addition to non-profit management, Jim was the Assistant Commissioner for Rehabilitation Services at the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, where he helped provide services to 85,000 people annually and was responsible for a budget of $245 million. Jim has served on numerous advisory councils and was on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation. He also served as the President of the Council of State Administrators for Vocational Rehabilitation. Jim was voted Most Admired CEO in 2018 by The Dallas Business journal for his role at Operation Kindness as CEO.
In addition, Jim is actively involved in the community, having coached youth and adult soccer and youth basketball for more than 30 years. He and his wife, Becky, have two sons: Josh and Carter. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Binghamton University and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from West Virginia University.
