The People Problem in Vehicle Cybersecurity

After graduating from Michigan State University studying Electrical Engineering, he has been working in the automotive industry since 2013 with a focus on automotive embedded cybersecurity. He has a passion for driving solutions to enable the automotive industry to bring new technologies to market without compromising safety and security. With experiences working on a broad range of automotive cybersecurity projects he has created global training courses for major OEMs, joined numerous supplier security teams to lead their cybersecurity process, authored security requirements for major automotive manufacturers to keep their vehicles safe, conducted various penetration test engagements including full vehicle testing, infotainment, radio’s, telematics, engine controllers and a wide range of embedded ECUs. He has also worked on automotive fuzz testing engagements, building a custom CAN fuzzing tool to meet automotive manufacturers requirements and is active participant in hacking conferences and competitions. He is keen on driving positive change in the industry using the new automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations and has presented on the topic at major conferences such as SIMEA in Brazil and created a podcast episode on the topic of automotive regulations. He is a CISSP holder since 2019.
