Cannabis Testing in Maryland: Protecting Patient Safety

Lori Dodson currently serves as the Deputy Director for the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission. During her time with the Commission, Lori has been actively involved in developing policy and regulation for the medical cannabis industry, as well as developing criteria and tolerances for the laboratories registered to certify medical cannabis. Prior to coming on board at the commission, Lori was a Program Coordinator for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene-Office of Health Care Quality where she was responsible for regulating and inspecting forensic and clinical laboratories in Maryland. Ms. Dodson has a Master’s of Science in Biomedical Research from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology from Wichita State University. Lori is married with two very active children and a dog, and loves competing in endurance sports.
