Robert Odell is a senior national intelligence officer in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the top-level oversight and mission management organization of the US intelligence community. He is assigned to the National Insider Threat Task Force, in the National Counterintelligence and Security Center. After joining the intelligence community in mid-2001, he conducted IC budget oversight and served in the National Intelligence Council. Earlier in his career, Rob had a diverse set of work experiences. At the Federally-funded R&D organization, Center for Naval Analyses, he supported the US Navy in the latter years of the Cold War, served as an operations analyst on the USS Theodore ROOSEVELT in the first Gulf War, and supported a NATO senior military command in Sarajevo during the tense early months of Balkan peace operations. Rob holds a BA degree in Philosophy from SUNY Binghamton, and master’s degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
