Dr Thompson is a senior scientist at NILU since 2011. Prior to this, she held post doctoral positions at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Germany, and at the Laboratory for Science of the Climate and Environment in France. She obtained her PhD in 2005 in atmospheric chemistry from Victoria University in New Zealand. Dr Thompson is the coordinator of the Horizon Europe project, EYE-CLIMA, co-leader of the Global Carbon Project N2O budget, and Advisory Group member for the implementation of the WMO Global Greenhouse Watch.
