Stephen Powers is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS). In this role, he is responsible for strategic execution of ESS’ business objectives, leading research initiatives, building advocacy and public awareness of the Disabled Vehicle Emergency safety cases, and securing global regulatory compliance for the company’s suite of H.E.L.P.® Lighting and Digital Alert solutions – which are easily integrated into passenger and commercial vehicles to help prevent and mitigate crashes into disabled vehicles using intelligent, advanced lighting techniques and platform-agnostic traffic alerts. Before ESS, Powers was CEO of PinnacleART, a global leader in designing, implementing, and maintaining asset reliability and integrity programs. Prior to PinnacleART, Powers served as Vice President of Corporate Development – Canyon Offshore at Helix Energy Solutions Group, where he managed financial and administrative functions across international teams, and led various business growth / performance optimization initiatives. A native Houstonian, Powers has 25+ years of experience in the energy, technology and industrial services sectors; and has served in a variety of leadership roles at PwC Consulting, Koch Capital Markets, Aggreko and Rosetta Resources. Powers is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master in Professional Accounting with a concentration in Information Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a concentration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
