As Head of Product Management at Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS), Rhita drives the development of H.E.L.P.® Lighting Alerts and Digital Alerting solutions that connect vehicles, fleets, roadway operators, and digital platforms to reduce roadside danger. By delivering timely, actionable safety signals both on-vehicle and through connected ecosystems, she helps transform how drivers and communities stay aware and safe in critical moments. Rhita brings more than 20 years of experience in automotive, embedded systems, and connected technologies. Prior to joining ESS, she held senior leadership roles in customer program management and product development at Harman, where she successfully guided complex, cross-functional programs from concept to commercialization for global OEMs. She holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and is the recipient of multiple patents in navigation routing and heads up displays. Recognized for her leadership and innovation, Rhita was named one of Crain’s Detroit Business “26 Notable Women in Tech” and received the Hedy Lamarr Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center. She is also an advocate for women in technology and an active member of the Society of Women Engineers.
