After graduating high school in 1998, Ken served a 2-year church mission in Central America during which time he learned to speak Spanish. He was selected to a leadership position and supervised approximately 200 missionaries serving in Honduras and Belize.
In 2001, Ken returned home and joined the Bonners Ferry Police Department as a Reserve Officer. He attended North Idaho College for 1 year and completed Level 1 Reserve Officer training.
In 2003, Ken joined the Idaho State Police and was assigned to District 2 (Lewiston) where he served as a trooper for 6 years and as a detective for 3 years. In 2012, Ken was promoted to Patrol Sergeant and was also assigned to supervise the District 2 Domestic Highway Enforcement (DHE) Team. In 2017, Ken accepted the position of K9 Program Supervisor and was assigned to handle drug-detection K9 Boston. He is a POST certified instructor and has completed over 3,000 hours of law enforcement training.
When away from work, Ken enjoys spending time with his family and trying to keep up with his 4 boys. He also loves classic cars and riding dirt bikes. His wife of 13 years, Tiara, is the love of his life.
