Mr. Jake Weakley joins us from Oregon OSHA Consultation where he works with employers to identify, mitigate, and prevent occupational safety and health hazards. Prior to joining Oregon OSHA Consultation, Jake spent over a decade with Federal OSHA where he served multiple roles, including that of a compliance officer and instructor for the OSHA Training Institute. After relocating from the Midwest, Jake spent time in the private sector working as a consultant and teaching through one of the OSHA Outreach Education Centers. Jake has multiple family members that work as healthcare providers, and he has some experience supporting healthcare facilities. Jake served as a safety manager for a brief time for a large medical facility where he managed a team of safety professionals, industrial hygienists, environmental specialists, health physicists, and supporting administrative staff. His experiences as a regulator, safety manager, and consultant provide a unique perspective on healthcare operations and their associated occupational safety and health hazards.
