With more than two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Giuseppe Serio serves as VP Market Development at Upstream, where he is responsible for global and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Upstream, he helped clients succeed in their digital transformation related to connected cars and manage cybersecurity risks, serving as the Global Industry Solution Leader for Connected Vehicle & Automotive Cybersecurity at IBM. Giuseppe joined IBM via the acquisition of PwC Consulting, where he was a senior strategy consultant supporting clients on their digital transformation journey. Giuseppe has been a thought leader, featured speaker and panelist on automotive security topics around the world and one of the first proponents of the idea of a vehicle security operations center for connected and autonomous vehicles (vSOC) more than a decade ago.
