Les' Talk Presents: MASC-OFF
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Fri
My name is Kyra Priscilla Fox. I’m a queer Black womxn, a poet, and the youngest Assistant Principal in Louisiana. I show up every day on the frontlines of education, where I lead with radical love, equity, and bold action. I’m not interested in maintaining broken systems—I’m here to disrupt them and rebuild spaces where Black and brown students, queer youth, and our communities can thrive.
I’m a proud graduate of Howard University and Tulane University, and now a doctoral student at Xavier University of Louisiana, where I continue my journey as a transformational leader and advocate. While at Howard, I founded the university’s first LGBTQ+ mentorship nonprofit—creating space for queer students to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Beyond school walls, I’ve marched in protest, spoken truth to power, and helped push for real policy change, all with the goal of creating a future we haven’t yet seen—but deserve.
Everything I do—whether in education, poetry, or activism—is rooted in purpose. I’m building legacy through action, and I believe that leadership isn’t about position—it’s about impact. I didn’t wait for a seat at the table. I built a new one.
