tru2dacommunity is a vibrant organization dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging and support for trans men and masculine individuals in New Orleans. Born out of personal experience, i created this safe space to address the unique needs of our community. Through impactful events like the Homeless Not Helpless TRANZITION giveaway, which provides essential resources, clothes food and haircuts to those in need, and TransHaven, our domestic violence support group, we strive to make a tangible difference. Collaborations with other organizations have also allowed us to showcase the diversity and talent of our community, such as the TRANGENDER portrait project, a powerful photoshoot celebrating the many faces of trans identity. By offering a platform for connection, empowerment, and advocacy, tru2dacommunity is committed to creating a brighter future for all its members.
