Gerhard was born in Austria and started his career as hardware and software developer for communication technologies. Later, he made an executive MBA study at the University of Salzburg. Since this he transitioned from engineering into strategic innovations and business-related topics. His automotive experience started in the early 2000’s with telematics devices and services for heavy trucks and mobile machines. After relocating to Germany, Gerhard joined HARMAN about seven years ago, conducting the transition from 4G to 5G cellular connectivity technologies & standards in vehicles. Since begin of 2024, he leads the App Store Content Strategy at HARMAN Automotive.
