Gergely Simon is a systems engineer at NXP Semiconductors where he spent the past three years supporting customers and building solutions for various automotive processing applications around the software-defined vehicle concept. Over this period, he specialised in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data management solutions, and created demonstrations for tradeshows and exhibitions. Recently his focus has been on edge AI applications and deployment of AI/ML models to various devices within ECUs. Prior to joining NXP he had worked in cloud-native finite element modelling for delivering efficient distributed compute solutions for mobile filter simulations. Gergely holds a PhD in electrical engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
