Miranda Hawk is a member of theater faculty and chair of speech, theater and film in the Communication and Performing Arts department at Madison College. She moved from California to Madison to take a job with UW-Madison as the director of theater education where she was immersed in the fabric of Wisconsin, traveling the state supporting theater programming for educators and arts education efforts. In 2006, she joined the part-time teaching faculty at Madison College and was reminded how much she loves teaching. In 2010, she was excited to join the Madison College team full-time. She enjoys directing locally and at the college; latest adventures include Our Town and Student Body with Madison College and Kiss Me, Kate, Guys and Dolls and Souvenir with Four Seasons Theater. When she can, she jumps at the chance to be on stage; most recently as Ms. Maudie in To Kill a Mockingbird with Children’s Theater of Madison and Barbara in August, Osage County with Mercury Players Theater.
