JOANNA LYNNE STAUB is a NYC-based Sound Designer. Her designs include work at the Alliance Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cleveland Playhouse, 5th Avenue Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, The Nashville Children’s Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Public Theatre, and The WP Theatre.
Ms. Staub has extensive credits associate designing and engineering Broadway Shows and National Touring Companies including Angels in America, Sweat, The Color Purple, Constellations, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, August: Osage County, Les Miserables, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
She has also served as a Sound Designer and Audio Engineer for the St. Louis and New Jersey Symphony Orchestras as well as an Assistant Head of Audio at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Lincoln Center Festival, and Spoleto Festival.
Her TV credits include audio engineering for the NBC-Live! Productions of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, and The Wiz, the 59th & 60th Annual TONY Awards, the Summer Concert Series at both Good Morning America and The Today Show, as well as mixing several Puppy Bowls for The Animal Planet.
She lectures Sound Design at Princeton University. She holds degrees in music, audio engineering and technical theatre from Ithaca College and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
