With over four years of experience in training and development, I am passionate about empowering people to achieve their personal and professional goals. Joy has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and certifications in human resources, coaching, and personality assessments. As an Assistant Director for Organizational Effectiveness at the University of Illinois System, Joy facilitates dynamic presentations on topics such as conflict management, values, wellness, and mindfulness, fostering a culture of growth and inclusion across the organization.
She also serves as a primary coordinator for the yearly Professional Staff Leadership Academy (PSLA) program, which brings together a cohort of 20 leaders from different units and campuses to enhance their leadership skills, collaboration, and institutional knowledge.
Joy feels fortunate to be able to work on training, employee engagement, and wellness. Joy is a self-proclaimed nerd and has been studying professional development for more than 23 years. She has been a practitioner and facilitator of meditation for more than 16 years. Joy enjoys facilitating classes and meditation sessions that encourage real world application and take hectic schedules into account.
