Yvonne McCray has over 25 years of results-oriented experience in Community Services, Housing and Community Development, Program Implementation and grant management and is the Director of Housing for the City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency (BURA).
Appointed by Mayor Byron W. Brown in 2009, Ms. McCray’s collaborative approach to community partnerships, proven success in the management and compliant administration of federally funded programs, has contributed to the investment of nearly $1 Billion dollars in affordable housing development in the City of Buffalo.
A Graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Ms. McCray holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology and has committed herself to serving communities in need throughout her career.
Ms. McCray is a member of the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority (BMHA) Board of Commissioners. Born and raised in the City of Buffalo, Commissioner McCray considers it an honor to serve the residents of the City and the Housing Authority.
