Dr. Anita L. Nelson, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology Western University Health Sciences; and Professor Emeritus, Obstetrics and Gynecology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She has been Medical Director of the Research Division of Essential Access Health for 3 decades. Previously she was Medical Director of Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Harbor-UCLA. She has authored over 270 articles for professional journals and 80 chapters, and nearly 200 abstracts, and several books including Contraceptive Technology. She has conducted nearly $70 million of research in women’s care for NIH, Gates Foundation and pharmaceutical companies. She loves to teach and advocate for women’s health issues, especially in wonderful settings such as this meeting.
