Debbie Barish, DNP, MS, WHNP-BC (she/her), has been a nurse practitioner in the field of sexual and reproductive health for 30 years. She was the first NP in California to be legally trained to provide first trimester aspiration abortion and helped change the physician-only law in the state. Debbie provides care at Sutter East Bay and Berkeley High School and is volunteer clinical faculty in the UCSF School of Nursing. She has been on the board of TEACH for several years and became board chair in January 2024. She is an avid art journaler.
