Josiane Aboniyo is a highly experienced Rwandan professional specializing in climate change, environmental management, and chemicals and waste
management projects. Currently, she serves as the Junior Professional Technical Support for Africa at the Convention on Wetlands Secretariat, playing a vital role in advancing wetland conservation efforts across the continent. Josiane previously worked at the World Meteorological Organization, excelling in communication and stakeholder engagement for an EU- funded project. With a broad skill set and fluency in multiple languages, including English, French, Swahili, and Kinyarwanda, she has contributed to sustainable practices in various African countries. She holds degrees in Aquatic Environment Science and Conservation and water policy and has completed additional professional development in project management and policy. Josiane's dedication to sustainability is evident in her diverse experiences and expertise.
