Ashley Capps serves as associate vice president for nursing operations at Tidelands Health in coastal South Carolina. Mrs. Capps, who joined the organization in 2015, has operational and administrative oversight of Emergency Services, Critical Care, and the Women and Children’s service as well as the Stroke and Sepsis programs for the TH system. With a 20 year nursing career specializing in critical and emergency care, she is passionate about advancing the practice and quality of nursing care offered to patients as well as improving the environment of care for nurses through evidence-based methodologies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree in nursing from Western Governor’s University with a focus in executive leadership. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders. Mrs. Capps serves on the board of directors for the Family Justice Center, serving victims of domestic violence and their children in Georgetown and Horry counties.
