Michelle Bray was born in 1986 in West Germany. After graduating from high school, she completed a voluntary cultural year at the Heidelberg Theatre. She then worked as an assistant director, puppet maker and puppeteer for various theatres and independent groups. From 2009 - 2012 she studied acting in Berlin and during this time began to realise her own first directing projects in which diversity and togetherness in diversity always played an important role. Since 2008, she has directed theatre education projects and also worked as a mediator in artistic and political education. During the engagements that followed her studies, she continued to implement her own artistic projects and managed various socio-cultural projects. Since 2021, she has been advising and designing projects on awareness, diversity and empowerment on a freelance basis
