Misi Birdsall is a Grantee Specialist serving the Office of Head Start, Region IV Training and Technical Assistance network. Misi has a passion for educating others and is a lifelong learner herself. She has been working in the field of education for over 15 years with many of those years spent in early learning including five years with Head Start. Misi is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a BS in Elementary Education and completed her master’s in education at Ashford University. She was employed as a Quality Consultant for the state of Illinois CCRR system providing TTA to early care and education providers from childcare centers and family childcare homes. During this time, she was reliable in the Environment Rating Scales (ECERS, ITERS, FCCRS, and SACERS) and also in the Program and Business Administration Scales (PAS and BAS). Her prior experience as a corporate trainer at large nationwide companies and as a trainer for the State of Illinois has allowed her to facilitate workshops and trainings at the local, regional, and state levels.
