Genesee Spridco (she/her/hers) is Assistant Teaching Professor at University of Illinois based in Urbana/Champaign. She teaches movement for the graduate and undergraduate acting programs, specializing in physical storytelling vocabularies including mask work, Viewpoints, and clown. She also focuses on actor wellness and conditioning through the Alexander Technique, yoga, tai chi and circus conditioning. Prior to her regional leadership in the National Playwriting Program, Genesee was the director/coordinator for the Devised Theatre Initiative for six years. She is an advocate for new works and actor driven creation processes. She received her BFA in Directing and BS in Theatre Education from Viterbo University and her MFA in Ensemble Devised Physical Theatre from Dell'Arte International School for Physical Theatre.
