The "Why" and the "How" to utilize Facility Dogs when working with victims and children

Marybeth II spent her first two years of life training to be an assistance dog with Canine Companions for Independence in California. She completed her training and certifications and was placed with the Yamhill County District Attorney’s Office as Oregon’s First Courthouse Facility Dog in February 2014. Marybeth has been serving in that role since, working with victims and child witnesses of all crime categories through all stages of the criminal justice system.
