With training in applied anthropology and public health, Karen Carlin has over three decades of professional experience providing mental health services and training. Her career has developed in her the audacious belief that accurate information and understanding will transform how communities and organizations think about and support people with mental health conditions. She believes reducing stigma, creating understanding, moving from confusion to hope are lofty goals and they are accomplished when we do this together with curiosity, inclusion and respect. Karen is a nationally certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, QPR and CALM. She regularly trains on topics related to Trauma-Informed Care and provides leadership to the case management team at a mental health urgent clinic.
