Lauren Coffren is the Director of Survivor Services with NCMEC’s Exploited Children Division. Joining NCMEC in 2006, she has spent the past fourteen years working on cases and programs fighting against the sexual exploitation of children. She now oversees the new Survivor Services Initiative which collaborates with survivors, public, tech industry, law enforcement, NGOs and other stakeholders to develop and improve resources for survivors and families affected by the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM.) This program aims to increase legal and mental health and other services, enhancing public exploitation messaging and optimizing technological solutions to combat CSAM. Ms. Coffren has provided extensive technical assistance to law enforcement in the United States, as well as abroad on cases of child sexual exploitation. Ms. Coffren received a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Spanish from DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
