Diana is the Health Literacy Education Director at the Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA). She has implemented programs nationally surrounding topics such as health insurance literacy, asthma, teen health, and oral health. She has provided training on health literacy best practices for community-based organizations through web-based or in-person settings. She is co-author of – - Advancing Professional Development in Health Literacy: The Health Literacy Certificate Program and the Health Literacy Solutions Center - Innovative Approaches to Chronic Disease Management: Health Literacy Solutions and Opportunities for Research Validation in Health Literacy: New Directions in Research, Theory, and Practice - The Intersection of Health Literacy, Health Equity, and Nursing Practice in Health Equity and Nursing: Achieving Equity Through Policy, Population Health, and Interprofessional Collaboration. As the Health Literacy Education Director, Gonzalez leads content for professional develop in health literacy. She leads content development for IHA’s Annual Health Literacy Conference and the Health Literacy in Action Conference. Oversees the rewrite and redesign consulting services offered at IHA and supervises content on the Health Literacy Solutions Center such as blogs and webinars.
