Shannon Tushar is the Chief of Examinations for the Division of Banks in DFI. She first joined DFI in 2007 as a Financial Examiner and developed specialties in financial and credit risk management, information technology, and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering programs of state chartered banks. In 2017, Shannon moved into her current role of overseeing DFI’s community bank examination function and managing the field examiners. She is active with the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) and works closely with regional leadership of the federal banking agencies. Shannon graduated on the honor roll from the Pacific Coast Banking School in 2013, had her research paper published in the lending library, and since 2019 has been an instructor of the school’s Bank Management Simulation capstone course.
