Maj Gen (R) James “Pesh” Peccia served more than 32 years in the United States Air Force before retiring in August of 2022. He most recently served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management. He was responsible for planning and directing the formulation and execution of the Department of the Air Forces’ budgets totaling more than $174 billion annually. General Peccia served in all levels of the Department of Defense to include OSD Comptroller, the Joint Staff, Air Staff, multiple Major Commands within the Air Force and Commanded twice at the Squadron and Group levels. He now works as a Partner for Kearney and Company, leading the contract effort for the Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System. He resides in Dayton, Ohio with his wife, Sarah; and their children Christian and Morgan; and their yellow lab, Bailey.
