Ms. Bridget Collins serves as the Chief of Finance and Accounting at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), where she leads all accounting operations, financial systems, financial reporting, audit response, and enterprise-wide internal controls. Since joining DTRA in 2016, she built a world-class accounting organization that was instrumental in securing two consecutive unmodified audit opinions, a landmark achievement for the agency. Her innovative financial controls pioneered at DTRA are now being implemented as best practices across the Department of War (DOW). Prior to her role at DTRA, Ms. Collins served for thirteen years at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). There, she established the agency's worldwide internal audit organization from the ground up, conducting high-visibility audits before being selected as the Deputy for Audit Readiness, where she guided significant financial stewardship reforms. Ms. Collins began her career as a financial statement auditor in PricewaterhouseCoopers' federal practice. She transitioned to public service as a financial auditor with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) before joining the DOW. Ms. Collins is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Bloomsburg University
