Mr. Pete Bowman is a seasoned leader in federal financial management. In his current role, he is responsible for the professional development, training, and certification of the Navy's nearly 10,000 financial management professionals. Throughout his career, Mr. Bowman has spearheaded critical initiatives to modernize financial systems and enhance data transparency. As a former director within Navy FM&C, he led high-profile projects to remediate audit weaknesses by reengineering business processes and implementing new systems like G-invoicing. He also has extensive experience managing large-scale cost and data systems for both the Air Force and the Navy. Prior to his government service, Mr. Bowman was a senior manager at PwC Consulting and IBM, where he led data warehousing and process improvement engagements for the Department of the Navy. He holds a BS in Finance from LaSalle University and an MBA from Temple University.
