Rich Brady, CDFM, CGFM, CMA, is CEO of the Society of Defense Financial Management (SDFM). SDFM is a global organization representing more than 14,000 finance and accounting professionals in the public and private sectors of the defense/aerospace industry. Rich joined SDFM after serving 32 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel in 2021. In his time in the Marine Corps, he served in a variety of command and staff positions throughout the United States and overseas, including a combat tour in Iraq, multiple tours in the Pentagon, and as an accredited diplomat in the country of Georgia. He serves on the boards of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Marine Corps Association, and the Georgian think-tank GEOCASE. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Saint Louis University, a Master of Science in Finance from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Science in Resource Strategy from the National Defense University. He is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
