Human Trafficking - It Happens in Idaho Too

Shauna Miller works in the Public Transportation Office and has been with ITD since June 2012. During this time she has served as a Grants & Contracts Officer for FHWA, FTA, and State-Funded Grant Programs. Most recently, Shauna’s passion for public transportation has been focused on FTA compliance and oversight of ITD-PT’s Safety, Capital, Asset Management, and Training programs. Shauna has been engaged in combating human trafficking since 2014 and has been engaging the Public Transportation community since 2019. Shauna is a member of the National RTAP Review Board, MTAP, and sits on ITD’s Strategic Safety Team. Shauna received her bachelors degree in Psychology from Boise State University with an emphasis in organizational and structural psychology. She has also done extensive studies in journalism, philosophy, and sociology. In 2017 she received her Public Transportation Safety Certification through US DOT’s FTA Office of Transit Safety and Oversight. When not dedicating her time to public transportation, Shauna loves spending time with her husband, Adam. They have 2 children, a dog, and 4 ducks. Shauna enjoys coaching softball, arts, out fishing her husband and currently holds the family record for largest catch! She grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska but has loved calling Idaho her home for the last 20 years.
