Karen Hiatt-Engineering Manager over Planning and Scoping section in District 6. I have worked for ITD for 25 years. During that time I have filled several rolls and worked in operations, construction, design and planning. I love my job and I love the people I work with. Over the past 3 years I have worked on the PEL (Planning and Environmental Linkage) study for the I-15/US-20 Connector in Idaho Falls. The PEL was a huge success and something I would like to share with everyone. On a personal note, I have 2 kids and a dog that keep me busy and bring joy to my life. My son is almost 13 and loves to play soccer, enjoys skiing and is involved with scouts. My daughter is 8 and plays basketball, soccer, clogs, and just started playing volleyball. That’s enough to keep me busy, I don’t need any other hobbies.
