Casey, an experienced educator, early career researcher and Intergenerational Program Coordinator, who has enjoyed 26 years of experience in both public and independent education sectors. With a fervent commitment to fostering enriched educational experiences and community engagement through intergenerational connections, Casey has demonstrated leadership skills in secondary education, including significant roles such as Deputy Principal. Casey is also an Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme volunteer, an Australian Institute for Intergenerational Practice member and a member of Generations Working Together (Scotland). She has completed the JOY1 course, delivered by the AIIP and credentialed by Griffith University. She is a currently completing her Master’s in Education and Professional Research studies at Griffith University, and alongside Associate Professor Katrina Radford from Griffith University, she is co-authoring a research paper addressing the impacts of these Intergenerational Programs on the wellbeing and identity of teenagers and seniors. She is based in Port Macquarie NSW.
