Dr. Ainul Nadhirah Hanafiah, PhD (Cantab), is a Research Fellow at the University of East London’s Institute for Connected Communities. Her work focuses on social prescribing and community-based health interventions across the UK, Malaysia, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. Ainul currently leads a study on implementing NHS-style social prescribing in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia and explores digital approaches to support community services in the UK. She was awarded UEL’s 2023 Innovation Award for Public and Community Engagement.
