Dr. Katherine Zippel, MBBS, MA, MPH, MBA, FRACGP is a General Practitioner and DPhil candidate in Evidence-Based Health Care at the University of Oxford. Her doctoral research explores the role of social prescribing in cancer survivorship, focusing on “what works, for whom, and in what circumstances.” Dr. Zippel has extensive experience providing primary care in rural and remote Australia, including Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory and South Australia. Her clinical practice integrates lifestyle medicine, disease prevention, and culturally safe models of care. She holds advanced degrees in public health, psychology, and business administration. Her diverse career spans general practice, psychiatry, global health research, and community leadership. As both a cancer survivor and clinician-researcher, Dr. Zippel brings a unique perspective to the intersection of evidence-based medicine, narrative medicine, and social prescribing, with a commitment to equity and culturally responsive care.
