Rachael Wass leads Meaningful Ageing Australia, the peak body for spiritual care and ageing. An innovative, membership-based body is committed to enhancing the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of older individuals. Rachael's most significant role was being the primary caregiver for an elderly parent over 15 years. She holds a Master of Ageing and a Master of Commerce. A Co-Chair of the First Nations Workgroup and a Member of the National Aged Care Alliance. She is also a member of the Department of Health, Ageing & Disability's Aged Care Sector Reference Group, serves on the ACQC’s Consumers and Families Panel, advises the ARIIA Palliative Care Knowledge & Expert Advisory Group, and is an Advisory Committee Member of the LGBTIQ+ Health Silver Rainbow aged care program.
