Dr Clarissa Giebel is Senior Research Fellow in the Institute of Population Health at the University of Liverpool.
She is leading national and international research into health inequalities in dementia social care and mental health, and has led some of the first national and international studies into the impacts of the pandemic on people with dementia and unpaid carers.
Dr Giebel is passionate about public involvement and working with a number of countries to jointly address health inequalities in the care for people with dementia and their carers, including India, Australia, Colombia, and the Netherlands.
She is the organiser of the public Liverpool Dementia & Ageing Research Forum and host of The Ageing Scientist podcast.
