Roberto Bellavia is a principal and senior consultant for Kestrel Tellevate LLC, where he manages food safety-related projects and supports clients of all sizes in developing and implementing GFSI schemes, complying with FDA and USDA requirements, and creating supply chain management programs. Bellavia leverages nearly 20 years of food quality experience to provide food safety training for companies and organizations, including recent Advanced HACCP and FSMA Preventive Controls training at the Process Expo. In addition, he provides support for the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Prior to joining KTL, Bellavia had a successful career with US Foods, where he provided leadership for quality and food safety programs; managed and developed HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and SOP programs; and planned and implemented GFSI certification for FSSC 22000 at 13 national locations. Bellavia holds a number of food qualifications, including GFSI, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SOP, FSPCA, and Lead Auditor certifications. He has a master’s degree in Animal Production Science from the University of Camerino in Italy.
