Jenna Takenouchi was elected in 2022 to serve House District 27. She is the current Vice Chair of the House Committee on Health & Homelessness, working toward expanding mental health and substance abuse treatment initiatives, addressing healthcare workforce shortages, and supporting Hawaii's booming aging population of seniors. Rep. Takenouchi also sits on the House Committee on Finance and House Committee on Human Services, and a member of the Kupuna Caucus, Keiki Caucus, Equality Caucus, and Women's Legislative Caucus.
Prior to being elected, Rep. Takenouchi's worked in public relations before finding her passion in public service. In 2012, she was hired as office manager in the House of Representatives and spearheaded legislation and community outreach for House District 27. She is a proud product of the public school system in Hawaii and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also holds a Master of Management in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
