Educated as a physicist at the University of Texas at Austin and the Max-Planck-Institute in Munich, Jochen joined BMW 2001 being responsible for the infotainment system of the BMW X5 and X6 (Gen. ‘06). After acting as an strategic consultant for the infotainment organization, he was responsible for managing the system architecture of several BMW Head-Unit generations. Starting in 2013, Jochen was responsible for the pre-development and innovation-projects of the E/E –organization. Since 2016, he is managing the BMW head-unit system architecture, system platform development, and system integration activities.
