Denise Carter, M.Ed. is the founder, owner and creator of Smarty Bunch™ Educational Consulting. She successfully trained leaders, coaches and teachers the last 25 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Prairie View A&M University. Denise also holds a K-12 Principal certificate. She is a mother of two daughters, a wife, a veteran teacher, songwriter, author, and educational consultant. Her background includes alternative, private, and public school experience where she has taught a span of grades K-8. She has been a Skills Specialist for Reading and Math in Aldine Independent School District, a District Coach (TDS) and District Curriculum/ Instruction Literacy Manager for Houston Independent School District. Denise has been a regular presenter at CAMT (Conference for the Advancement of Math Teachers and other educational conferences. Denise has also been a presenter for TEA Reading Academies. She has made appearances on t.v. and radio. She has a YouTube presence and also created district instructional videos for Houston Independent School District.
