Stepheny Chen, M.Ed. is a student-focused leader with a passionate commitment to the development of students and educators, and being an advocate for the voiceless. Stepheny earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Sam Houston State University and is currently working toward completion of her principal certification from Lamar University. Over the past 24 years, she has demonstrated a consistent record of increasing student achievement at traditionally underperforming schools. As an experienced district level leader over the past ten years, she has designed and lead professional development for all levels of leadership. In addition, she has advocated for and established positive culture, provided statewide TEA Math Academy training, and most of all, strongly promoted an awareness of equity for all.
