Jonathan McMillan is a keynote speaker, author, journalist, activist, consultant & advocate for the empowerment of communities/ youth of color and he is the founder of Be Better Than Average, a consulting company providing assessment & strategic insight, gangs & youth violence prevention, intervention and post-incarceration support. In 2021 the City & County of Denver hired Jonathan to lead their Youth Violence Prevention Action Table and implement the strategic plan, which he helped design, to reduce and prevent youth violence. The following year, Jonathan was hired as the Director of the State of Colorado's new Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
