Ernest is a business development consultant and the founder of BIPOCann, a project that aims to make the legal cannabis industry more welcoming and profitable for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and professionals of color (BIPOC) in the multi-billion-dollar legal marketplace of the Americas. Through its business network, BIPOCann acts as a hub for recruiting BIPOC professionals, promoting BIPOC-owned businesses, and increasing their connectivity to supporters, allies, and advocates for social and economic equity in the cannabis industry. Ernest previously worked at Marijuana Business Daily – a business news and information resource for cannabis industry professionals, and producer of MJBizCon. There, he led international marketing campaigns to expand MJBizDaily's presence in Canada, Europe, and Latin America, and negotiated and managed global marketing partnerships with cannabis media, event, and advocacy organizations.
