Dion Racks is a Certified Advance Practice Social Worker, who began her career in child protective services and worked for the Department of Children and Families in Wisconsin. She has worked in various capacities including case management, supervision, and training for over 20 years. She received her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, in Mental Health. Dion received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She has wealth of experience in working in the areas of children and families and mental health.
Dion is the child welfare program manager for Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System in Milwaukee for UW- Milwaukee Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. Her areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, cultural humility, diversity inclusion, human sex trafficking, clinical work with children and families, developing and training a critical thinking process in child safety decisions, with an emphasis on family and community-centered practice.
Dion Racks, is the founder of Core Community Services Inc. a non-profit organization that provides youth with community connections that will help them promote advocacy and change within their community.
