2:40 PM - 3:15 PM Tue
Shannon Lantzy, PhD, is a regulatory innovator. She cares for the healthcare industry, so the industry can take better and better care of all of us. The first phase of her career focused on helping NASA executives use technology to improve their day to day lives. The next phase focused on FDA: Dr. Lantzy created a Reglatory Innovation consulting team to help FDA tackle its own challenges. She helped CDER and CDRH create their first decision support programs, led the an independent assessment of CDRH's MDUFA performance, and designed teams for regulatory innovation challenges (from digital health to the opioid crisis). She built natural language algorithms before GenAI was born, and has led teams in creating medical AI. Her degrees in math, philosophy, information management, and decisions are all from the University of Maryland, College Park.
